7.71 - He said: Defilement and anger have fallen upon you from your Lord; do you argue with me about names which you and your fathers have named, for which Allah has not sent down any authority? Then wait, I am with you among those who wait. 7.72 - So We saved him and those with him by mercy from Us, and We cut off the last of those who denied Our signs, and they were not believers. 7.73 - And to Thamud, (We sent) their brother Salih. He (Salih) said: O my people! Worship Allah, you have no god other than Him. A sign has come to you from your Lord, this is the she-camel of Allah for you as a sign, so leave her to eat in the land of Allah and do not touch her with any harm, lest a painful torture will seize you. 7.74 - And remember when He made you successors after Aad and made you settle in the land; you take from its plains mansions and carve in the mountains houses, so remember the favours of Allah and do not transgress in the land, making mischief 7.75 - The chiefs who were arrogant from his people said to those who were oppressed and have believed from among them: Do you know that Salih is sent by his Lord? They said: Indeed, we are, in that with which he has been sent, believers. 7.76 - Those who were arrogant said: Indeed, we are, in that in which you have believed, unbelievers. 7.77 - So they slew the she-camel and rebelled against the command of their Lord, and they said: O Salih! So bring to us what you promise us, if you should be of the messengers. 7.78 - So the shaking seized them, and they became in their home motionless. 7.79 - And he (Salih) turned away from them and said: O my people I have certainly conveyed to you the message of my Lord and advised you, but you do not like advisors. 7.80 - And Lut when he said to his people: Do you commit indecency which no one has preceded you with from among the worlds?
